    As Borehamwood/Elstree is located in Hertfordshire there are plenty of nature walks available like Scratchwood Open Space and Aldenham Country Park. If you are a plane buff you can take a trip to London Elstree Aerodrome and watch the planes or history enthusiasts can take a trip around historic St Albans which is close by. If you are lucky you may also spot a celebrity strolling through the high street on a break from a day’s filming from one of the two studios in operation and a new sky studio has recently been approved.


    Borehamwood/Elstree has a mix of properties from studios to cottages, with a large selection of post war brick-built houses all the way up to 2, 3, and 4 million-pound properties the area really does have a wide diversity of properties in the area.


    Being within the M25 you have great links to the M1, A1 and A41 and of course the M25. You can also be at Kings Cross in 25 minutes and Luton airport in 30 minutes on the ThamesLink or by bus to other nearby areas in Hertfordshire and NW London.

    Did you know?

    Although most of the town has been built within living memory, the history of Elstree and Borehamwood can be traced back to Roman times. Elstree, situated on the Roman road of Watling Street, was a centre for pottery and tile manufacture in the 1st and 2nd centuries AD. The town came into its own in 1954 with Masefield Avenue being built.

    Borehamwood/Elstree has a deep history with the film and TV industry from Star Wars to Clockwork Orange, EastEnders to Strictly come dancing and Dancing on Ice and the Crown all filmed in the Borehamwood TV and film studios.
