    You’ll find a nice mix of older properties, Georgian and Victorian, peppered with new builds and conversions which have increased in value with the recent property boom and remained stable being a popular choice for families moving out of London and looking for more space.

    The centre has remnants of the old fishing town with original narrow streets of terraces and town houses east and west, running along the seafront.

    West of the station remain avenues of Victorian town houses and semis around Victoria Park towards Goring.

    For larger more expensive houses, head north and west: Offington, Salvington and Charmandean.

    Large detached and town houses sell for around £500,000-£1.2m+

    Detached and smaller town houses fetch between £300,000-£500,000 and semi-detached, £240,000-£600,000.

    Terraces and cottages, £250,000-£320,000 and Flats £165,000-£500,000.

    Rentals are a very strong market with a one-bed flat going for between £550-£850pcm and a three-bed house between £950-£1,500pcm.

  • Transport

    Worthing is well connected for travel having three stations and trains to Brighton that only take, 22-26 minutes; Gatwick, 50-ish; and to central London Victoria 75 to 83 minutes.

    By car you have the A27 which runs along the coast to Brighton and takes approximately a half-hour  to Brighton, to the West you have Chichester and Portsmouth about an hour away with the world famous Gunwharf Keys.

    Amongst the many “good” primary schools, Worthing also has the “outstanding”,  Bramber, Broadwater CofE, Heene CofE and Goring-by-Sea CofE.

    Secondary schools for Worthing that have the “good” rating: Davison CofE High for Girls, St Andrew’s CofE High for Boys, Worthing High, Durrington High and Chatsmore Catholic High.

  • Places of Interest

    Worthing has a fast developing foodie scene with excellent restaurants and bars popping up all the time, some excellent places to visit include the crab shack on Worthing seafront for some excellently prepared fresh seafood or Efes for some authentic Turkish cuisine to name but a few.

    For the more adventurous Worthing has the perfect climate for kite surfing as well as paddle-skiing or kayaking along the coast.  Fishing is also a popular sport with many anglers fishing off Worthing pier.

    For a more relaxed day the Dome cinema or the Connaught Theatre offer the latest films to watch.
